The Bird Net Gatherers’ Ancestral Temple Cham Island
Over time, the bird nest exploitation profession was established and developed. It became a precious specialty for royalty and exportation. The temple was built to worship the gods and the founders of bird nest gathering in Thanh Chau hamlet in Bai Huong, Cham Island.
It underwent a major restoration work in 1848 and has been well preserved until today. Currently, it is a unique, religious architectural structure of ancestral worship on Cham Island. The ancestral ceremony is formally held on the 10th of Luna March every year to pray for a good and safe harvest. This temple was recognized as a national relic in 2006
