Hai Tang Pogoda Cham Island – Unique Pogoda On The Island

The Hai Tang Pagoda Cham Island The relic was built in the 19 years of the Canh Hung era (1758) and rebuilt in the present location in the first year of the Tu Duc era (1848). It is one of the typical works of architectural artistry in Cham Island

Outside of the Pogoda

Which demonstrates the process of habitation, as well as the cultural life of the residential community here. It is located with beautiful mountains as a backdrop and faces the terraced fields.

The main gate of the Pogoda

It has an ancient and grand structure, including the roofed triple gate and old towers, the main building with two sides including a bell tower, drum tower, yin-yang tile roof, and uniquely connected and elaborately-carved wooden frames which make the soft and flexible feature.

Inside of the Pogoda

The pagoda still has many preserved worship statues and valuable artifacts. It is dedicated to Buddha and the Saints to meet the religious needs of the inhabitants of the island and in celebrations of foreign trade boats. It was listed as a national relic in 2006.
